Q: Where do you find your creative inspiration?
A: "Practically everywhere. Just look around us. "

Q: Why do you do what you do?
A: "I spent 40 + years in the advertising business as an art director, design director, creative director representing global companies. I formed my company to focus on advertising design, design and illustrative design. I enjoy creating visual art as an extension of language and communication, by blurring the boundary between traditional and commercial art through type and image via prints, notecards, apparel, and posters in public spaces."

Q: What art/artist do you most identify with?
A: "Milton Glaser, Michael Mabry, Seymour Chwast, Aubrey Beardsley, Herb Lubalin, Michael Schwab"

Q: What role does an artist have in society?
A: "Every sentence that begins “The role of the artist is...” is untrue as soon as spoken.
After many years in a variety of creative roles, I have discovered (finally) artists roles in society are largely dependent on the personality of the artist and on that artist's chosen subject matter. An artist can lead, follow, uplift or provoke with their work. Art is often a reflection or extension of personality. Art is so versatile that the artist can take whatever role they wish, given the right art for a given set of social circumstances."

Q: What is your artistic outlook on life?
A: "The visual arts are an excellent way to communicate something when it cannot be described by words. "

Q: What advice would you give your younger self?
A: "Don’t get so caught up in the difficulties of the moment since they are only temporary. As important, develop the business side of things early.
