We recently caught up with Agustina after High Art 2023 to learn more about her most recent inspirations:

Where do you find your creative inspiration?

When there is free time at night and being outside the room (room/house) while relaxing.

Why do you do what you do?

I really love the process of drawing and anything related to art/illustration itself freely.

What art/artist do you most identify with?

Eccentric Surrealism - Salvador Dali & pen-and-ink crosshatching style - Richey Beckett.

What themes do you pursue the most?

Surreal, Psychedelic, Abstract.

What role does an artist have in society?

In my personal opinion, an artist must act as messengers for the public society to convey certain messages both in galleries and outside the sidewalks or a street wall by adapting their respective styles in presenting an important role as a form of freedom of expression then a symbol of resistance which is highly adapted to the current problems or concerns.

What is your artistic outlook on life?

Life is art. I create what I want and work towards making it come to life.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Try to be wise in dealing with everything as long as we are still breathing.

Do you listen to music while you are creating? If yes, share the song and artist that you listen to while creating art.

Weyes Blood - Andromeda Beach House - Lose Your Smile David Bowie – Starman

What's the best thing about being an artist?

Being an artist naturally makes me calm, relaxed, and better at the same moment. I start to practice appreciation without even knowing I'm doing it and that leads to finding more things in my life to appreciate. Being appreciative of the surrounding environment and what I have in my life is a fantastic way to live.

What is your dream project?

Building a Creative Agency with several close partners who share the same vision/goals with me.
