High Artist Spotlight: AizaBay

Aiza Bay is a self-taught artist/illustrator from Almaty, Kazakhstan. She studied Concept Art, digital illustration and Japanese animation. She has extensive work experience working at banks, non-governmental organizations and universities. Unfortunately, she spends a lot of time at work and only draws on the weekends, but she likes to take part in competitions and she believes that one day she will be the winner!

Where do you find your creative inspiration?
I am inspired by everything that surrounds me: people, nature, weather, films, paintings and music.

Why do you do what you do?
I feel that I need to do something to be useful to myself

Digital art

What themes do you pursue the most?
Animation

What role does an artist have in society?
Artists at all times played a big role in society, when there was no photography yet, the artist could depict an event or a significant figure in history. The artist has always been an inventor.

What is your artistic outlook on life?
Life is art. We create what we want and work towards making it come to life.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Be brave and be yourself!
