High Artist Spotlight: Andrei Koshaleu
Andrei Koshaleu was born in Minsk, Belarus where he currently lives and works . All his life he has been engaged in art. He has been drawing since a young age, received a higher professional education at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, and has been working as an artist-designer for more than 15 years. He loves to creates posters, paintings, objects and children's books. His art can be described in two words: humor and simple forms. He makes complex things simple and makes simple things fun and easy to understand.
We recently caught up with Andrei after High Art 2022 to learn more about his most recent inspirations:
Where do you find your creative inspiration?
I am inspired by the surrounding life, people and events.
Why do you do what you do?
I am an artist and I do it best.

What art/artist do you most identify with?
My style is unique, but embodies the achievements of many artists.
What themes do you pursue the most?
Life, in all its manifestations.
What role does an artist have in society?
The artist makes people see beauty in everyday life.
What is your artistic outlook on life?
Simplicity will save the world.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't be afraid and take more risks! And don't study physics, chemistry and math too hard.
