High Artist Spotlight Andy Wahono

Andy Wahono's art career started when he became an art student at ISI (Indonesia Institute of Art). Before that, art was just a hobby for him. Today, he is a full-time artist, and almost all of his artwork exudes fantasy, elegance, power, and splendor. When audiences see his artwork, they can become immersed in the fantasy that they construct based on his creations.
We recently caught up with Andy after High Art 2023 to learn more about his most recent inspirations:

Where do you find your creative inspiration?

Book, movie, tv, my friend and so on.

Why do you do what you do?

It's my passion.

What art/artist do you most identify with?

Frak frazetta.

What themes do you pursue the most?

Fantasy.

What role does an artist have in society?

Made everything more live and colorfull.

What is your artistic outlook on life?

Clean.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Persistent.

Do you listen to music while you are creating? If yes, share the song and artist that you listen to while creating art.

What's the best thing about being an artist?

I can creat what in my main....and more.

What is your dream project?

Solo exhibition.
