High Artist Spotlight: Bold

The 22 years old, Bold has been a ink and paper/digital artist with a passion for comics, manga illustrations, tattoo arts and psychedelic concepts. Currently a college student of the University of Benin, Nigeria, He is constantly honing his craft and developing a unique style.His interest in art began at a young age, and quickly discovered a talent for drawing and storytelling at the age of 13. As He grew older, his focus shifted to comics and manga, which allowed him to combine his love of drawing with his passion for narrative.In addition to comics and manga, Bold is also skilled in creating tattoo designs. He enjoys the challenge of working within the limitations of the human body, and take pride in creating designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and meaningful to his Clients. Despite his young age, Bold has already had a few ongoing and completed projects in his artistic career. He has participated in a few art contests and conventions, and his work although not being at the top 3,has been a joy to create.He current works as an Assistant artist for RAPTURES comics. Looking ahead, He is excited to continue pushing the boundaries of his art and exploring new creative avenues. Whether it's through comics, manga, tattoo art or Art as we know it, He is always striving to tell compelling stories and create beautiful, meaningful art.

Where do you find your creative inspiration?

I can't place my hands on it yet, but most times it's what I feel, or what I want to feel.

Why do you do what you do?

I've grown to Love it. It's that one thing I really want to do when I wake up.

What art/artist do you most identify with?

Kim Jung gi

What themes do you pursue the most?

Thought provoking. Mind blowing.

What role does an artist have in society?

What other role than to create?

What is your artistic outlook on life?

Life is beautiful, the pain, the joy... it's all a spectrum of colors, light and dark.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

More of an encouragement, I'd say wow, you dreamt it and now you're living it.

What's the best thing about being an artist?

Being able to SEE and FEEL things differently. The ability to express myself in a way words can't.

What is your dream project?

BOLD, it's a comic book idea I've always had since I was 11.
