High Artist Spotlight: Einkstein

After working in the IT industry and not being happy with his job, Einkstein aka Sanjay Nayak left his job to being in a career in illustration.

He found that he loves creating art in various different styles but most of all creating traditional looking pieces in a digital medium and creating a story behind the pieces. Character design and blending various cultures to create a melting pot in his work let’s him put to use his fascination with mythology. An unexpected aptitude for short animation surprised him and expanded his horizons. Pop culture, bad puns, 420 friendly and hip-hop influenced art that also has a deeper message hidden within is one of his goals.
We recently asked Einkstein some questions about his inspirations:

Q: Where do you find your creative inspiration?
A: "From life, music, books, tv shows, movies and listening to the greats talk about the craft."

Q: Why do you do what you do?
A: " Because it’s part of who I am, and it inspires, motivates me and brings satisfaction and happiness like no other."

Q: What art/artist do you most identify with?
A: " Provacative, bold , intelligent and masterful works that draw me in and the more I look the more I discover. Artists that I identify with would be: Jor Ros, Denis Sarazhin, Kim Jung Yi, kloodwig and Max Ulichney "

Q: What role does an artist have in society?
A: " To hold up a mirror to society and to bring hope , acceptance in people’s lives. To let people know , they are heard, and they aren’t alone."

Q: What is your artistic outlook on life?
A: "Be true to yourself, accept yourself, spread joy and stand up for what you believe in."

Q: What advice would you give your younger self?
A: " You aren’t ugly, love yourself even if other people ridicule your weirdness, being different is your biggest superpower, you will find your people. Also, just go with your gut, believe in yourself."
