High Artist Spotlight: Francis Greenleaf

Francis Greenleaf is a self-taught visual artist from the central coast of California. They paint scenes inspired by nature, psychedelics, and the spiritual trip of life.

We recently asked Francis some questions about their inspirations:

Q: Where do you find your creative inspiration?

A: "Through meditation, spiritual practices, and being in nature"

Q: Why do you do what you do?

A: "I paint to try to visually capture ideas that can be more difficult to explain in words, and hopefully spread positivity through my art."

Q: What art/artist do you most identify with?

A: "I love all forms of art, but abstract and psychedelic art tends to speak to me the most"

Q: What role does an artist have in society?

A: "I think an artist's role is to become an example for others to be more freely expressive, and to help people see that a better world and more liberated versions of themselves are possible."

Q: What is your artistic outlook on life?

A: "My artistic process has helped me understand the ways I can create my own reality, and choose to love and accept all aspects of life, both positive and negative. "

A: "I would tell my younger self to relax and keep creating"
