High Artist Spotlight: Gavin Kendo

Gavin Kendo is a self-taught visual artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. His work is centered around real human experiences and emotions that cannot be explained, portrayed using bright colors. He draws his inspiration from his daily life and the people around him. Gavin uses surreal symbology in his art as he believes there is more to life than what is seen. He holds the belief that the true human experience lies within and shows his inner dialogue through the images he creates. Gavin utilizes both traditional and digital media, sometimes both, to add detail that one medium is limited to. His preferred medium for physical paintings is oil paint on canvas.
