High Artist Spotlight: Husain Elhaq

Husain Elaq is an Indonesian-based illustrator & concept artist working in the entertainment industry with over 4 years of experience. He has worked with game & art studios and currently works as a freelance artist.
We recently caught up with Husain after High Art 2022 to learn more about his most recent inspirations:

Where do you find your creative inspiration?
I think about the diversity of music and cultures around the world, and think about how to combine them, I also look for inspiration from existing music-themed artworks as reference

Why do you do what you do?
I want to show my work to everyone, and share my thoughts

What art/artist do you most identify with?
I love the illustrations by Esben Lash, Zeen Chin, and Raiko, they are great digital artists

What themes do you pursue the most?
I prefer sci fi and fantasy themes, just anything mind blowing

What role does an artist have in society?
share entertainment and aesthetics,
art can also play a role in clarifying an idea and words.

What is your artistic outlook on life?
just enjoy your life

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't waste time, keep trying new things

Doing a hobby that can generate income, that is fun.
