High Artist Spotlight - Jokiargu

Jokiargu's artistic journey took off when he started doodling on his mom’s lesson plans when he was 4. This led him eventually to pursue Advertising Arts in La Consolacion College in Bacolod City, Philippines. He is currently based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where he leads a design team of carpet designers in one of the country’s leading carpet factories since 2001.In 2015, he rekindled his love for traditional and digital drawing, His heart now, as is known to some, is of a dark amalgamation of components comprising of a mix of mindless doodles, baroque and Victorian inspired themes, everyday elements, and social-activism to pop-surrealism as seen in his highly detailed drawings using either an ordinary ballpoint or a Wacom pen.
