High Artist Spotlight: Kane

Kęstutis Michailovas aka Kane was born in Lithuania, Kaunas city. He studied in an art Academy in his hometown of Kaunas, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in sculpture. Kane doesn’t have a precise style that he could use to describe his work, so he just creates what he observes in life, and what is important to him. Kane likes to try various art fields, like sculpture, glass art, ceramics, epoxy resin art, digital, graphic, and illustration art and form casting. He often makes his art functional. He likes to use water, smoke, and lights as additional elements but maintains traditional artistic canons. The relationship between an object and the spectator is also very important to him. He usually likes when the viewer sees and makes his own personal connection with the art piece, then it becomes more personal to them, and they can create their own story about it. He also had the privilege to work at the National Kaunas drama theater as a props maker and decorator, where he gained a lot of experience working there with acknowledgment from directors and scenographers, both local and worldwide. Now, he is participating in various exhibitions, art fairs, and international competitions.
