High Artist Spotlight: Mouad Moustaid

Mouad has always been inspired by the beauty of the myths and legends of ancient times, he knows at least by intuition that there are a lot of stories hidden or unknown to the general public, metaphorized to take completely different forms over time, and this is what justifies the resemblance of a lot of myths across the worlds despite the cultural difference of each civilization. For example, the mother of the gods, the queen of the heavens, the widow or quite simply the sacred virgin is a given title to several fertility goddesses around the world. The best known of which are Inanna, Isis or the Virgin Mary.

'The Gateway to Magic' illustration represents the spiritual journey of this archetype in one of the strangest dimensions of the psyche, of which only a few souls have been able to explore them and come back to share their experience with ordinary people. Gateway to magic, is a tribute to the spiritual journey of souls, whether via dreams, meditation which leads to the contemplation of the magic sphere of the collective unconscious of our ancestors, or via substances such as cannabis or others that represent timeless vessels, immaterial and limitless, leading to the dark, mysterious and unknown territories of our being.
