High Artist Spotlight: Sadaf Baloch
Sadaf Baloch is a designer and illustrator based in Pakistan, her transcendent interest lies in creating vibrant illustration and designs, she mainly focuses on women empowerment and outspread awareness on social issues. She believes that illustration is a powerful tool to portray certain truths, feelings and emotions that occurs to us and in our surroundings, which we cannot convey in words. Her work has been featured in Oxfam Pakistan by securing 2nd place on national level.

What role does an artist have in society?
The work an artist creates, embodies emotions that help a society familiarize itself with complexities that are invisible but exist in plain sight. Art and artists capture time in a manner that stays for centuries reflecting the lies and truth of being. Artists show it as it is. Relationships, emotions, politics, every part that our life touches, is expressed through art in various forms. Artists, have the power to reform the collective perception of society. They connect with a deep and uninterrupted bearing with their audience (society). Their work, be it a painting, poetry, song, act, illustration, graphics any form of art, compels it’s viewer to justify or challenge their ideology / mindset.
What is your artistic outlook on life?
I believe that the world of reality has it's limits but the world of imagination is boundless.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I will advice that just trust the process that you are going through it will lead you to something great.
Do you listen to music while you are creating? If yes, tell us your favorite song and artist.
I often listen to coke studio and old 90's songs I find peace in them so it's difficult for me to choose one. but my favorite artist are Atif aslam , Ali sethi , Nusrat Fateh ali khan and more.
What's the best thing about being an artist?
being an artist allows you to share your artwork with the world and seeing everything with a different perspective that a normal man would not and turning things into your beautiful artwork.
What is your dream project?
My dream project is to work on international levels and tell the importance of my artwork to the world.
