High Artist Spotlight: Sam Ramteke

Sam Ramteke started his career since childhood as an social worker. He started drawing and painting social issues in his city of Nagpoor, India. After developing his interest in arts and creativity, he applied to J.J. School of Arts College for a further degree in applied arts. Now he is working in digital visual arts, as an illustrator, art director and concept maker in some production houses.
We recently caught up with Sam to learn more about his most recent inspirations:

Where do you find your creative inspiration?

Sometimes from the soul, from our present universe

Why do you do what you do?

Because I use my time more than making art and visualising, it’s fun to understand.

What art/artist do you most identify with?

Of course Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci

What themes do you pursue the most?

Freedom and social change, imagination,invention and progress.

What role does an artist have in society?

The one who brings change in the world with his pure imagination should be made the head of our education.

What is your artistic outlook on life?

As long as you have the energy to do something, you should use it to do the last breath. But you also need to earn money.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Nothing is big or small, only knowledge unites a person, earn knowledge, keep working.

Do you listen to music while you are creating? If yes, share the song and artist that you listen to while creating art.

What's the best thing about being an artist?

That he is aware, he is logical, we wish him all the best for change.
